About us

The Pondicherry Surf School was established by Vicky, a native of Pondicherry and a certified instructor accredited by the Surfing Federation of India (SFI). With a decade of surfing experience, Vicky has garnered significant expertise. He’s not only deeply rooted in the local community but has also achieved commendable success, winning two longboard category competitions in 2021 and 2023. His expertise and accomplishments underscore his passion for surfing and serve as a testament to his proficiency in the sport.

Starting from enquiry to seeing us off, the service provided was beyond amazing! We were a group of 3 who initially planned to surf for not more than an hour and a half but ended up surfing for almost 3 and a half hours. Vicky (our instructor) was absolutely amazing! He was extremely patient with each one of us and was very encouraging! If you're new to surfing, I highly recommend this surf school. Every rupee we spent was worth it!

It was an amazing experience and it was worth the money. 1-Our instructor Vicky was very active and patient and also made sure the each and every one could surf and made us practice both on the beach and in sea which made it easy at the end. 2-By the end we all could easily surf. 3-They gave us a discount as we were in a group. 4-We had our secession for around 1.30 hour but they taught us for extra time. 5-They even had a person who took our photos and videos while doing all the activities.

Vicky is extremely skilful and takes deep interest in reaching and that too private sessions. Highly recommend where you can trust him blindly because by the end of a session you will catch a surf and if not, he will make sure he gives extra efforts- no boundaries of time and went all the way to make sure we had multiple rounds to perfection.
